Position Summary

Working from the Duluth, GA office, the High School Program Coordinator
- Coordinator of EOCs and Instruction Programs at Georgia Connections Academy is a 12-month employee school-level leader who will serve on the High School Leadership Team. They will support the school in driving academic and cultural outcomes for students and serve as a resource for teachers regarding student achievement, attendance, behavior, and Academic Integrity. Additionally, the High School Program Coordinator-Coordinator of Special Populations will plan and implement programs designed to increase student academic achievement.

All GACA staff must be able to participate in monthly in-person activities, including but not limited to:

  • School and department meetings,
  • Student engagement opportunities,
  • Required training/development,
  • School-level events, such as state testing and graduation.

This is a 12-month, full-time position.

Reports to High School Principal and Assistant Principal

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid teaching certification and GAPSC educational leadership certification or currently enrolled in a leadership program.
  • Must have received a rating of Effective or Highly Effective in the most recent performance reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid teaching Georgia PSC certification and educational leadership certification or currently enrolled in a leadership program.
  • Previous experience in educational leadership, preferably as a teacher or coach.
  • Preferred experience on an EOC team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional best practices.
  • Commitment to student success and teacher support.
  • Must receive manager recommendation.
  • Possesses a positive customer service attitude in interactions with all stakeholders.
  • Flexible and willing to provide and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion for marketing and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel).
  • Must be able and willing to conduct and participate in collaborative meetings, professional development sessions, and events at the GACA office and/or other locations as needed.
