Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineering, Process Engineer
Drive process innovation and lead team excellence through technical expertise as an on-site Manufacturing Engineer in our Duluth office for our Engraving Solutions business, which sells through our Brady and Gravotech brands. This individual will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing processes with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. They will play a key role in resolving complex production challenges and implementing solutions that enhance product quality and process reliability.
This role provides critical leadership and technical guidance to technicians and peers, fostering a culture of quality and operational excellence through influence rather than direct reporting lines.
This is an on-site role at our location in Duluth, GA
.
- Operational Excellence: Direct production workflows, qualification processes, and FMEA analysis to ensure seamless manufacturing and robust process reliability.
- Process Engineering: Partner with product development team to design, deploy, and validate advanced manufacturing strategies, including the creation of comprehensive assembly, testing, and packaging procedures.
- Automation & Innovation: Re-engineer operations by designing, installing, and debugging innovative tooling, capital equipment, and automated systems for high-precision inspection and data acquisition.
- Quality Compliance: Execute PPAP/FAI documentation and enforce rigorous policy conformance to meet stringent customer and regulatory standards.
- Leadership & Training: Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by providing technical guidance to cross‑functional teams and developing sophisticated training systems for associates.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in an independent role.
- Experience using lean manufacturing principles to implement improvements.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Training Certification and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer and/or ASQ Mechanical Inspector certification.
- Knowledge of quality management systems (specifically ISO‑9001, AS9100), COC/COA creation, and statistical tools.
- Familiarity with CAD software, AutoCAD preferred.
