What you'll do
The reliability aviation team supports our airborne antenna products which keep millions of people connected while in the air. Our team monitors the reliability of active antennas in the field to provide insights into product performance used by quality, engineering, and business teams. As a part of our team, you will learn to calculate the mean time between failures and return rate of products, analyze operating data for antennas, and integrate reliability into each step of a product lifecycle.
You will improve your Tableau, Python, and Excel skills while automating various reliability reports and expanding our available data sources.
Reliability is at the center of product improvement. Your work as a reliability engineer will help drive business decisions, increase customer satisfaction, and increase product quality. Our impact covers the whole product lifecycle — from predicting potential problems in new products to understanding the field performance of 10‑year old antennas, reliability has a hand in all of it.
You will work closely with quality engineers to diagnose and understand current issues, business area leaders to understand product performance and project future performance, and program leaders to help them develop a reliable product. You will be bringing the data and statistics to help others make informed business decisions. Because of this, you will also work with data analysts to improve access to reliability data.
Theday-to-day
Most of your time in this role will be spent improving current data reporting processes. You will analyze our current methods and identify and implement improvements to increase our capabilities or further automate our reports. A standard day may also include working with internal customers to perform special analysis on a specific product to help inform decisions.
