Role

Summary

Eastern is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to support industrial, advanced manufacturing, cleanroom, dry room, semiconductor, EV battery, and data center projects.

This role is ideal for a construction professional with experience managing the estimating, procurement, coordination, installation, and commissioning of complex MEP systems. The successful candidate will support projects from early planning and budgeting through construction, startup, and closeout while collaborating with owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, and owner requirements.
  • Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and bid proposals.
  • Develop scopes of work, assumptions, clarifications, and value engineering recommendations.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
  • Identify design conflicts, scope gaps, constructability concerns, and project risks.
  • Support procurement planning and long-lead equipment strategies.
  • Participate in client meetings, bid reviews, and contract discussions.
Project Management & Execution
  • Manage MEP scopes from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
  • Maintain project budgets, forecasts, procurement logs, schedules, and change management processes.
  • Coordinate owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and equipment selections.
  • Monitor project cost, schedule, quality, safety, and overall performance.
  • Manage commissioning, testing, turnover, and project closeout documentation.
  • Resolve procurement, design, and field coordination challenges before they impact project performance.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead coordination efforts across multiple disciplines and project teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities effectively to leadership and clients.
  • Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5-8+ years of MEP construction, estimating, project management, or preconstruction experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical systems on industrial or technically complex projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP construction sequencing, procurement, cost control, and coordination.
  • Experience preparing estimates, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and bid packages.
  • Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Ability to travel as project needs require.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing, EV battery, semiconductor, cleanroom, dry room, pharmaceutical, or data center projects.
  • Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, Building Connected, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
