Atlanta Gladiators Mascot Coordinator Intern

The Atlanta Gladiators are currently seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and talented individual to serve as the Atlanta Gladiators Mascot Coordinator Intern during the  season. The ideal candidate would have previous experience performing as a mascot/handling mascots, possess excellent non-verbal communication skills, be athletically and physically fit, and have a creative and vibrant personality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the Atlanta Gladiators at various community events across the greater Atlanta area including (but not limited to) home games at Gas South Arena, special events, watch parties, corporate partner appearances, festivals, school shows, etc.
• Keep the mascot in time with the game schedule including in-game seat visits, intermission performances, monitor communication with the Game Ops team, assist with pre-game tasks, community appearances, and other items throughout the season that are requested.
• Help with in-game activities including: participant in mascot skits, capturing content, ensuring safety of mascot.
• Assist with mascot social media accounts.
• Assist with mascot at school assembly programs as mascot handler and setup duties.
• Will serve as a handler/assistant during outside events in the community.
• Carry props or other supplies during the game for the mascot.
• Will be in charge of making sure the mascot has all his supplies for the upcoming games or appearances.
• Plan mascot skits and entertainment for Gladiators games.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidates will reside locally
• Personal transportation
• Previous mascot handler experiences preferred
• Ability to excite, engage, and entertain a crowd
• Must attend all Atlanta Gladiators home games
• Assist and maintain mascot booking calendar
