Job Description:

The Assistant Manager – Freight Forwarding Accounting oversees financial reporting, compliance, and performance analysis across freight forwarding, inland trucking, trading, and related operations while supporting leadership with accurate insights and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the month‑end closing process ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, GAAP, IFRS, and corporate internal controls.
  • Supervise financial transaction monitoring across multiple business segments.
  • Review accrual aging, segmented P&L reports, and detailed financial summaries.
  • Perform revenue, cost, and margin forecasting to support planning.
  • Consolidate and reconcile financial data across reporting entities and systems.
  • Maintain financial master data integrity and reporting consistency.
  • Develop dashboards and financial presentations using Excel and BI tools.
  • Deliver ad‑hoc reporting and analysis to senior management and auditors.
  • Identify and implement financial process and reporting improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs aligned with strategic and operational goals.
  • Oversee accrual testing and validation during month‑end close.
  • Evaluate profitability of new business ventures and margin performance.
  • Support strategic projects and cross‑functional initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • 6–9+ years of accounting experience; supervisory experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX, GAAP, and IFRS standards.
  • Proficiency in Excel required; SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured corporate environment.
