Medical Assistant

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support HCT providers in a fast‑paced clinical environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient patient flow, high‑quality patient care, and a positive clinical experience. The ideal candidate is patient‑focused, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a collaborative team setting.

• Support HCT providers during patient encounters within the facility
• Manage patient traffic flow and assist with follow‑up care per provider instructions
• Prepare exam rooms and patients for practitioner encounters
• Pre‑assess patients by reviewing medical history, collecting current information, and obtaining/documenting vital signs (e.g., hearing, vision, blood pressure) according to clinical guidelines
• Integrate medical records, specialist reports, and patient communications into the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Assist in managing patient concerns and ensuring timely resolution
• Schedule appointments for labs, radiology, specialists, and follow‑up visits as ordered by providers
• Provide patient education as directed by providers
• Participate in the interviewing, selection, orientation, and training of new team members
• Maintain department Quality Improvement (QI) standards
• Perform daily cleaning and restocking of exam rooms and complete QI log checkoffs

• 2 years of experience as an MA
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (MA or CMA)
• Basic phlebotomy experience
• Strong patient care and customer service skills
• Familiarity with medical documentation and electronic health records
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑based healthcare environment

• Experience in Gastroenterology (GI) and Endoscopy (ENDO)
• Flexibility to float to other Procedure Suite locations
• Open to work 12 hour shift as needed

Hours: M-F - 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM

Pay based on experience: $18 to $25

This is a Contract position based out of Duluth, GA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
