Clinical Support Associate – LPN or MA

Responsibilities- Work independently.
- Excellent communication skills with team members and patients.
- Collaborate with office manager, clinical supervisor, and lead medical assistant.
- Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
- Ensure all job‑related training is followed and relevant sign‑offs are completed.
- Attend huddles to obtain important notes for the upcoming day.
- Review patient cases for providers and nurses who are out of the office.
- Respond to clinical concerns for patients after consultation with providers or the clinical supervisor.
- Identify patients needing in‑office or telemedicine visits and schedule appointments promptly.
- Provide phone triage per clinic protocols.
- Obtain medical records from hospital portals and upload them into patient charts with correct labeling.
- Assist with prior authorizations.
- Assist with clinical queries from administrative staff, such as lab orders and determining medical necessity for late‑arriving patients.
- Manage prescription phone voicemail lines.
- Post normal results and send notes to the patient portal.
- Close out consult letters with correct labeling (e.g., cardiology consult note).
- Review diagnostics with correct labeling (e.g., diagnostic mammogram).
- Counsel patients by transmitting physician orders and addressing treatment questions.
- Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional publications.
- Assist with orientation/training, perform other duties assigned by providers or managers, and travel to other locations as required.
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent time‑management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment.
- Ability to foster a strong teamwork environment at all offices and among all staff.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of computerized scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of common office computer programs (Word, Excel, Internet).
- Adherence to all applicable HIPAA laws and the Pandya Medical Center Confidentiality Statement.
Candidates must hold either a Certified Medical Assistant credential or an active LPN license in the State of Georgia.
Prior Clinical Experience In a Healthcare Setting Strongly Preferred.
Proficiency with EMR (electronic medical records) systems and knowledge of medical terminology.
