Job Overview

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, provides community‑based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is a part‑time caregiver position scheduled for 21.5 hours per week:
Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., and Fridays 4:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. Pay is $17.50 per hour. A valid driver’s license must have been held for at least one year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal hygiene support to participants.
  • Assist participants with developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
  • Help participants engage in community activities and their favorite activities.
  • Support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served and collaborate with leaders to make decisions that benefit participants.
Qualifications
  • No high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred:
    Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, multi‑tasking, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
  • Behaviors: patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
