Manna Treatment is a nonprofit organization that provides therapy at 3 levels of care: PHP, IOP, and outpatient. We are currently interested in an applicant that has a knowledge of how to work with eating disorders as well as the underlying trauma providing care at all three levels. The position will be part time at first and can grow into a full time position.
Our current therapists are full with clients and we are in need of an individual who can start within the next two weeks. This position is hourly and does not provide benefits; however, if this is a good fit between Manna and you, you can work into a full-time, salaried, with benefits position. Manna is also very education-driven and we have two meetings per week that provide education and supervision.
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Clinical Director the Program Therapist provides treatment services to all types of clients in the outpatient, IOP, and PHP programs. Duties and responsibilities include providing clinical services in group, family, and individual therapy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES- Facilitates client admissions/discharges with the Admission/Discharge Coordinator.
- Responsible for providing individual and group psychological services for assigned clients.
- Responsible for the clinical management of assigned clients, including the weekly privilege lists and schedules, bi‑weekly treatment plans, and identifying treatment/contract needs/goals.
- Serves as the primary contact for any client concerns and is responsible for maintaining contact with the client’s referring/outpatient therapist and ancillary service providers during the course of the client’s stay and the family when/if appropriate.
- Responsible for conducting Utilization Reviews with the insurance company’s Case Manager as needed.
- May attend meals, snacks, and other activities in the milieu to better establish a relationship with clients that provides a more comprehensive understanding of current behaviors and relational dynamics.
- Will attend weekly treatment team meetings and share observations, comments, and important information about clients.
- Responsible for proper charting and ensuring that all documentation is completed in a timely manner (within 48 hours).
- Responsible for discharge planning, including a written discharge summary, and obtaining referral sources and necessary support systems once the client is discharged.
- Depending on the Primary Therapist’s credentials and/or licensure, s/he may be asked to serve as a preceptor to graduate students while they are completing an internship. In this capacity, they will be responsible for overseeing student’s progress, holding supervisory sessions, and completing any necessary documentation as outlined in the affiliation agreement.
- May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Practice constant communication amongst medical, clinical, and administrative staff to ensure quality of clinical care and promote recovery.
- Collaborate with clinical managers to monitor and ensure staff compliance in clinical practices and documentation per federal and state regulations and conduct trainings to maintain CARF accreditation.
- Participate in quarterly chart audits for qualitative and quantitative assurance.
- Engage in monthly peer review (i.e., treatment team, Utilization Manager, Clinical and Medical Directors, etc.) to ensure and maintain standards of quality and improve performance.
- Collaborate with CEO for research, marketing and outreach opportunities.
- Provide clinical services to persons served as appropriate and/or to the extent possible.
- Maintain clinical license, successfully complete all competency requirements, and attend all mandatory trainings.
Minimum of Master’s degree in Professional Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or other relevant health related discipline. Fully licensed as a clinical psychologist, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or provisionally licensed as APC, MSW, or AMFT in the state of Georgia. A minimum of 2+ years recent related experience working with eating disorders, addictions, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
