Position Type: 6-Month Contract
Location: Johns Creek, GA 30097
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to provide high-quality specimen collection services in a professional healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, processing samples, maintaining accurate documentation, and delivering outstanding patient care while following established laboratory procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, and other specimen collection procedures accurately and safely.
- Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures.
- Verify patient identity and demographic information prior to specimen collection.
- Obtain patient initials/signatures after venipuncture to confirm specimen labeling accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation.
- Ensure specimen integrity throughout the collection and handling process.
- Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
- Support multiple patient service centers or physician offices as needed.
- Work independently while effectively managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of recent phlebotomy experience.
- Experience performing Pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Strong venipuncture and specimen processing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic computer, keyboarding, and data entry proficiency.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training.
- Phlebotomy certification (required only in California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Two years of experience in a Patient Service Center (PSC) environment.
- Previous customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service setting.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel between multiple locations when required.
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts based on business needs.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if travel is required.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and follow established policies and procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety, professionalism, and quality patient care.
