Join Our Team: NEMT Driver Position at Wellness Transport Of Georgia

Are you a compassionate, caring, and reliable professional looking to make a difference in the lives of others? Wellness Transport Of Georgia is seeking full-time and part-time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to join our dedicated team.

Position Overview:

As a NEMT Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, secure, and professional transport of wheelchair and stretcher clients to medical appointments, hospitals, dialysis centers, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport clients to appointments and treatments using company vehicles.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatch for schedule updates and instructions.
  • Uphold a professional demeanor with clients and coworkers.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Assist clients safely in entering/exiting vehicles and reaching their destinations.
  • Operate GPS and transportation apps efficiently.
  • Document trips accurately for departmental records and billing.
  • Ensure the transport vehicle is clean, fueled, and equipped with necessary supplies.
  • Adhere to Georgia Code and department guidelines for vehicle operation.
  • Employ proper lifting techniques and ensure client comfort and safety.
Driver

Qualifications:
  • A clean 7-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with NO moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • Valid driver’s license with no suspensions.
  • Clean background check and ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Previous customer service experience with a track record of reliability and punctuality.
  • Passionate about assisting others with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in NEMT and ability to manage stress and multitask efficiently
  • Availability to work flexible hours between 5:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
  • Must live within 20 miles of Johns Creek, Georgia
  • BLS or CPR w/ AED certification
  • CTAA PASS Certified
  • Q’Straint Wheelchair Securement Certified

Physical Demands:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting. Candidates must be able to lift, carry, push, and lift heavy loads when necessary.

Work Schedule:

Days and hours vary; early mornings, weekends and occasional holidays may be required.
