This position is responsible for overseeing HR governance and operational effectiveness across freight forwarding operations and affiliated entities, ensuring consistent execution of employee relations, performance management, and workforce processes. The role provides strategic HR advisory support to business leadership, delivers workforce analytics and management reporting, and monitors compliance with established HR policies and procedures. Success in the role requires advanced knowledge of employee relations, performance management, workforce analytics, HR compliance, and organizational effectiveness, along with strong communication, consulting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
$121,792 - $134,612 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration and governance of core human resources processes, ensuring consistent application of policies, procedures, and operational standards across freight forwarding operations and affiliated entities.
- Monitor and guide employee relations activities, providing consultation and recommendations to management on workplace issues, performance concerns, policy interpretation, and corrective actions.
- Partner with Freight Forwarding leadership to discuss and determine base pay offerings; serve as the primary facilitator and point of contact for negotiation of pay offering exceptions for business needs.
- Administer and oversee the performance management process, ensuring evaluations are completed accurately, consistently, and within established timelines while promoting accountability and documentation standards.
- Review and monitor recruitment and hiring process completion, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements, documentation standards, and approved hiring practices.
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to business leaders, providing guidance on workforce decisions, organizational issues, employee matters, and HR-related operational risks.
- Analyze workforce trends and organizational metrics, identifying patterns and developing insights to support business decision-making and workforce planning initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and distribute HR operational reports, dashboards, and management summaries that provide visibility into key workforce indicators and organizational performance trends.
- Evaluate HR process effectiveness and compliance, recommending corrective actions and operational improvements to strengthen consistency, accountability, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with HR partners and operational leadership to ensure HR programs, practices, and priorities align with business needs and workforce realities.
- Conduct periodic reviews of HR policies, procedures, and operational practices, ensuring alignment with applicable employment laws, company standards, and business objectives.
- Support organizational change, restructuring, and workforce initiatives by providing workforce data, impact assessments, and HR guidance to management.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee and organizational information, ensuring compliance with privacy, recordkeeping, and data governance requirements.
- Domestic travel up to 15%
