responsibilities:
- Direct the intake, evaluation, and secure rollout of new AI tools, partnering closely with security teams to establish robust guardrails against data leakage, algorithmic bias, and compliance risks.
- Manage the full lifecycle of the enterprise application portfolio, identifying opportunities to consolidate redundant systems and optimize software spend.
- Track and control technology licensing costs, utilizing Fin Ops principles to evaluate the return on investment for SaaS platforms and monitor high-consumption autonomous AI agents.
- Collaborate with development teams to manage a robust opportunities pipeline for AI use cases, assessing task feasibility and translating business needs into clear technical specifications.
- Ensure enterprise architecture aligns with COBIT and ITIL governance frameworks while maintaining an accurate, transparent inventory of software assets and embedded AI capabilities like Microsoft Copilot.
- Monitor the AI vendor marketplace, keeping leadership informed on shifts toward multi-agent orchestration frameworks and edge-device models to guide the enterprise technology roadmap.
- Negotiate software contracts and ensure favorable commercial terms while conducting utilization metrics to eliminate shelfware.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (or 10+ years of equivalent professional experience).
7+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to application portfolio management, software asset management, or IT financial management.
Proven expertise in software licensing models, vendor negotiations, and conducting large-scale application rationalization initiatives.
Strong understanding of AI adoption risks, the 6-layer AI Stack, and the enterprise security boundaries of modern generative AI tools.
Experience with IT financial analysis, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modeling, ROI analysis, and business case development.
