Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer with deep hands‑on experience designing, building, automating, and operating enterprise Azure environments. This role requires an engineer who understands Azure beyond basic administration—someone who has architected cloud solutions, built Infrastructure‑as‑Code, automated deployments, optimized performance, and maintained production Azure environments. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building Azure infrastructure from the ground up using Terraform, understands Azure's underlying services and networking, and has been responsible for the ongoing health, security, scalability, and optimization of enterprise cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise Azure landing zones and cloud infrastructure using Terraform as the primary Infrastructure‑as‑Code platform.
  • Develop reusable Terraform modules, remote state management, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and governance standards for Azure infrastructure.
  • Engineer and support production Azure environments, including lifecycle management, performance tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Design and implement Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, ASGs, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Private Endpoints, Private DNS, Express Route, VPN Gateways, and hub‑and‑spoke network architectures.
  • Build and manage compute platforms using Azure Virtual Machines, VM Scale Sets, App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and container‑based workloads.
  • Design secure identity and access solutions utilizing Microsoft Entra , RBAC, Conditional Access, Managed Identities, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Azure Key Vault.
  • Implement enterprise governance through Azure Policy, Management Groups, Resource Locks, tagging standards, cost controls, and subscription management.
  • Build highly available and resilient Azure environments utilizing Availability Zones, Availability Sets, Backup Vaults, Site Recovery, and geo‑redundant storage.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub Actions to automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
  • Configure and maintain Azure monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, diagnostic settings, alerting, and custom dashboards.
  • Optimize Azure workloads through resource tuning, autoscaling, storage optimization, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cost management strategies.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments integrating VMware and on‑premises infrastructure with Azure using Azure Arc, Azure Migrate, and hybrid networking solutions.
  • Automate operational tasks using Power Shell, Azure CLI, REST APIs, and Python scripting.
  • Troubleshoot complex Azure infrastructure issues involving networking, identity, storage, compute, Kubernetes, and platform services.
  • Establish Azure engineering standards, operational procedures, security baselines, and architecture best practices across the cloud environment.
Required Experience
  • 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with at least 5 years dedicated to Microsoft Azure engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining Azure infrastructure using Terraform—not simply consuming existing templates.
  • Strong understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure networking, identity, storage, compute, and platform services.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale production Azure environments with responsibility for availability, security, performance, and operational excellence.
  • Experience designing Azure landing zones, subscription strategies, management groups, and governance models.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure networking, including routing, DNS, Express Route, VPNs, firewalls, private networking, and load balancing.
  • Experience implementing enterprise monitoring, logging, security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Strong scripting skills using Power Shell, Azure CLI, and Python.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Git, and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience administering AKS and containerized workloads in production.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Dev Ops Engineer Expert certifications.
  • Experience with Fin Ops and Azure cost optimization.
  • Experience implementing Azure enterprise‑scale landing zones and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) principles.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise environments with established governance and security requirements.
