Associate Attorney

Job Description

Socheat Chea, PC, seeks a full-time, salaried, associate immigration attorney to handle a challenging mixed immigration law caseload. We are currently seeking candidates with 1-2 years of experience in the field. Candidates should expect to immediately handle a docket including family-based, waivers, naturalization, and humanitarian (asylum, U-visa, and VAWA) cases. Candidates should also expect to add removal defense and federal litigation cases after training (as necessary).

Socheat Chea PC is a five-attorney firm in Duluth, Georgia, that exclusively handles complex immigration law matters. Successful applicants will show strengths in integrity and ethics, knowledge of immigration law, research and writing, client relations, and project/case management. The position will require appearing before several Department of Homeland Security agencies, and may include appearing before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, and United States District Courts.

Must be barred in the highest court of any state in the United States; admission to the Georgia Bar preferred. Ability to occasionally travel overnight required. Fluency in Spanish or other language preferred. Opportunities for promotion upon annual evaluations. Must be able to work full-time on-site. Salary commensurate with experience. Position is open immediately.
