- Develop and execute sub‑category sourcing strategies aligned with the overall category plan; reach cost‑savings targets by conducting market research and supplier benchmarking to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Identify best sources for part quotation, ensuring RFX on time/cost/delivery, selecting best suppliers for AGCO needs; develop purchase bids for multiple projects while interacting with internal stakeholders (engineering, quality, logistics, manufacturing, etc.).
- Lead the negotiation of long‑term agreements, managing supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings, optimize payment terms, and drive value creation.
- Act as the single point of contact for suppliers, leading negotiations on behalf of the global team, especially for China and India.
- Lead a team of two buyers (one in the United States, one in Brazil) and develop implement sub‑category strategies for NA within Metal Fabrication and Steel categories.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field (engineering preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Minimum seven years of hands‑on, results‑driven purchasing and negotiation experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and mandatory experience in Metal Fabrication and Steel categories.
