Operations Manager
We are looking for a high-energy, team-oriented Assistant Parts Manager to join our leadership team at Gwinnett Place Ford. In this role, you aren't just a counterperson with a title; you are the engine that ensures we maintain a high standard of service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Coach and train counter staff to elevate customer service standards and overall team performance.
- Operational Support: Resolve roadblocks across all departments to maintain high sense of urgency; provide “Tier-2” support to Parts staff, technicians and advisors.
- Inventory Integrity: Drive inventory accuracy by managing the daily flow of ordered parts as well as inventory maintenance.
- Process Improvement: Seek opportunities and implement processes to improve department fill rates and overall operational efficiency.
- Payables: Collaborate with the Accounting department to reconcile payable invoices and ensure all vendor accounts are current.
- Transaction Management: Monitor open invoices, purchase orders, and aging wholesale receivables.
- Customer Excellence: Deliver exceptional service and resolve high-level inquiries or escalated issues.
- Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Parts Director.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of automotive parts experience;
Ford dealership experience strongly preferred. - Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team and hold staff accountable to high standards.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of automotive parts, accessories, and inventory management.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills; experience with CDK Drive, X-Time, and CCC One preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on professional conflict resolution.
- Organization: Exceptionally detail-oriented with the ability to follow up on several tasks at any given time.
- Physical: Able to safely operate a forklift (certification preferred) and meet physical demands listed below.
Required to stand, walk, and sit; talk and hear; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Constantly required to operate computers and handheld inventory scanners. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. (up to 100 lbs. with assistance). Specific vision abilities include close/distance vision and depth perception. Must wear PPE as required.
Environment: 60% office/warehouse, 30% repair shop, 10% outdoors.
- Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 per year.
