Schedule:

Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week (8am to 5pm with flex)
Travel: 20% estimated travel The Vice President of Business Operations will lead the execution and operations involved with delivering print
and mail production, customer/product support, application development, and implementation.
Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Business Operations has 4 direct reports including Manager of Application Development, Manager of Customer Support, and 2 Mail Operations Managers.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required.

  • Experience working in printing/direct mail industry/environments
  • Twelve years of related experience with 5 or more years in a leadership position.
  • Critical thinking, strategic planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop and execute plans to achieve business objectives
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships

Position Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations across print and mail production, strategic planning, purchasing, and administration.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures that align with company's vision and goals. Continuously seek ways to streamline processes, optimize resources, and drive efficiency across all operations.
  • Develop/execute strategies to strengthen customer relationships, achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, and ensure that customer service level agreements are maintained.
  • Develop and implement operational practices and procedures for vendor and pricing models.
  • Establish and continuously review internal controls to ensure accountability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and boost efficiency. Develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with vendors and partners, both internal and external, for better value.
  • Liaise with other department leaders and executives for strategic planning and troubleshooting issues requiring interdepartmental coordination.
  • Foster collaboration and effective communication across teams to ensure departmental goals are aligned with enterprise-wide business objectives.
  • Provide guidance regarding departmental operations, staffing, training, management development, and engagement. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute the departmental budget and resource allocation plans.
  • Staff, guide, lead, and manage an organization of sufficient capability and size to accomplish goals and directives. Foster and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Establish clearly defined goals, objectives, responsibilities, competencies, and development plans for all teams.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating and refining processes, tools, and metrics to optimize customer value.
  • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity.
  • Ensure that the company is represented at conferences and networking events.
