Job Title
Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates or hands on experience with High School is acceptable 3+ years of leadership experience with direct team oversight and employee management responsibilities. Experience managing people, projects, programs, or operations within one or more of the following industries:
Electric Power Distribution Telecommunications Fiber Optic Infrastructure Utility Engineering Construction Management Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing workloads, and driving project execution. Strong understanding of field operations, engineering processes, or infrastructure project delivery. Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and customer expectations. Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience Utility engineering or power distribution experience. Fiber deployment, OSP engineering, FTTH, or telecommunications infrastructure experience. Engineering consulting or utility contractor experience. Experience leading geographically dispersed or multi-disciplinary teams. Knowledge of utility design, permitting, construction, or infrastructure development processes. Military leadership experience overseeing personnel, operations, logistics, or mission execution. Experience managing engineering quality assurance and operational performance metrics.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct supervision, mentorship, and development for engineers, designers, and technical staff. Lead and manage multiple engineering programs, projects, and customer initiatives simultaneously. Establish team priorities, allocate resources, and monitor workloads to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure engineering deliverables meet company standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations. Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management activities. Conduct performance coaching, employee development discussions, and career progression planning.
Monitor project execution and proactively address schedule, staffing, quality, and operational risks. Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, utility clients, and executive leadership to achieve program objectives. Review technical designs, engineering packages, reports, and project documentation for quality and accuracy. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts for engineering and technical personnel.
Serve as a primary escalation point for project challenges, staffing needs, and customer concerns. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
