Roles and ResponsibilitiesData Path, Inc. is seeking a Senior Production Operator. This position performs a variety of duties necessary to integrate assemblies, modules, electronic equipment and circuit boards within a team environment. Includes cable fabrication and testing, mechanical assembly and disassembly, mechanical rack integration and dressing of cable assemblies into top level systems and subsystems. Includes integration of electronics into top level vehicles, shelters and trailers.
- Cable fabrication and integration of rack-based systems
- Proficiency in terminating data, power and RF cables, including RG-58, RG-6, ¼ Heliax, ribbon-type, LMR 240 and 400, Cat 5
- Proficiency in crimping and or soldering SMA, BNC, TNC, N, F, RJ-45, RJ-11, Molex, D-sub, MS-soldered & MS-crimped
- Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of complex integration tasks following Data Path's workmanship standards. May be asked to fill in for more senior members of the work area as needed. May work a variety of assembly stations. May coordinate or set up activities as necessary to supply area with parts, supplies, tools, equipment and resources. Provides technical interpretation of drawings and specifications of moderately difficult products.
- Required to use hand tools and power tools to assemble and rework a variety of parts/assemblies and perform required assembly/rework operations to meet quality standards. Soldering may be required for some positions. May be required to perform minor equipment repairs / troubleshooting, minor tool program troubleshooting and Minor PM tasks Evaluate, select and recommend capital test equipment when appropriate using sound cost/payback analysis.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required as well as flexibility to support production schedule requiring working overtime hours and alternate shift hours
- Understands and demonstrates Lean principals/practices. Applies Lean electronic principals and tools to accomplish tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship
- High school graduate and seven or more years of related experience.
- May be required to lift/move heavy parts and/or equipment weighing up to 55 pounds.
