general job description

our company is currently seeking a tool control specialist tocarry out various tasks in our production facility. The ideal candidate willhave hand tool experience, excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail. The successful applicant will be responsible for inventorying handtools, scanning tools, laser etching tools, tool kit assembly, and reporting any inconsistencies or quality issues directly to the tool control supervisor.this position is term-to-perm.

major duties and responsibilities

• inspect incoming tools, catalog, and enter into inventory management system.
• operate etching and laser scanning equipment with proper training.
• assemble individually produced elements into a final product.
• conduct quality control review of produced goods assuring they meet company provided guidelines.
• possess basic hand tool knowledge.
• possess problem solving / troubleshooting skills.
• measure and record data using a tape measure and calipers.
• pack product for shipping to clients.
• maintain a clean and presentable work area.

qualifications

• high school diploma / ged required.

experience and required skills :

• 1+ years' work experience in tool control, production, manufacturing, or construction equivalent.
• strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• willingness to work in a team-oriented work environment.
• excellent communication skills and high degree of mechanical aptitude.
• able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.
• some knowledge of or ability to learn microsoft excel.
• prefer a degree of computer literacy in order to be trained in inventory management system.

key competencies

• hand tool experience.
• detail oriented.

physical requirements

• capable of lifting up to 45 pounds unassisted.
• able to work on feet for extended periods of time.
• able to operate in a loud production environment.

hours are monday through friday from 7am to 3:30 pm
