Your OpportunityTaylor Visual Impressions is looking for a skilled Equipment Operator (Finishing) to manage both finishing equipment and Guillotine Cutters in a fast-paced environment. You’ll take the lead on complex finishing jobs, perform color calibrations, and ensure high-quality output throughout the production run.
Your Shift4x10 Shift (Monday - Thursday) 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Your Responsibilities- Read and interpret job tickets to set up finishing and press equipment correctly
- Operate a variety of equipment including folding, stitching, coiling, cutting, gluing, and digital presses
- Conduct color calibration and maintain consistent color output on digital presses
- Inspect work for quality assurance throughout the production process
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Track inventory, place finished goods in designated areas, and maintain accurate labels
- Coordinate with production leads to meet job deadlines
- Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
- Solid understanding of production workflows and quality standards
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple jobs under time constraints
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Dependable, punctual, and open to flexible shifts/overtime
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
- Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
- Frequently required to move inside the facility
- Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)
- Experience in a commercial printing, packaging, or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with digital press platforms and color management processes
- Experience performing basic equipment adjustments and preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement principles
- Experience using job tracking, inventory, or production management systems
- Ability to train or assist less experienced team members
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a proven record of producing high-quality work
