ResponsibilitiesThe Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

FTE: 0.9
Hours: 72 hours per pay period (36 hours/week)
Shift Times (Rotate between):
- 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- 7:15 AM – 4:45 PM
- 4 days per week (9 hour shifts)
Regular
Schedule:
- Self‑scheduling period: 6‑week scheduling cycle
- Schedule submitted by staff, finalized at least 4 weeks ahead
- Staffing balance goal: 8 RNs per weekday shift, 1 Call RN overnight (14 hours)
- 1 Call RN on each weekend day (24 hours)
Call Requirements – Response Time: Must be able to report within 1 hour when called in.
Call Rotation:
- 3 weekday call shifts:
Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM – 6:30 AM, 14‑hour overnight call windows - 1 weekend call shift:
Saturday or Sunday, 6:30 AM – 6:30 AM next day, 24‑hour call window
Required to take:
- 2 holiday call shifts per calendar year
- Each is 24 hours
REQUIRED:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Minimum of 2 years full‑time experience as an RN post‑orientation or post‑residency training.
- Certified in American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.
PREFERRED:
- Minimum of 2 years experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients or previous radiology experience.
- Procedural and/or Emergency Department experience (including pre‑op, OR, PACU, Interventional Pain, Endovascular, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and strong IV insertion skills) is easily transferable.
630 am – 5:00 pm
