Registered Nurse PACU

$1661.95/week -

Job Summary:

Provides specialized perioperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Ensures patient safety, monitors vital signs, and manages postoperative symptoms during recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition continuously and respond promptly to changes in vital signs or symptoms.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed to manage pain, nausea, or other postoperative issues.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care plans.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Cerner electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care instructions and recovery expectations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years recent experience in PACU or similar perioperative setting.
• Meet AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Cerner electronic health record systems.
• Possess strong assessment, critical thinking, and quick decision-making skills.
• Exhibit flexibility to work varying shifts between 10:30 AM and 11:00 PM.
