Responsibilities

• Perform endoscopic procedures under physician direction following strict clinical protocols
• Prepare patients by reviewing history, obtaining consent, and explaining procedures
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment and accessories
• Monitor and document patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Ensure high-level disinfection and reprocessing of scopes and instruments per standards
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and procedure documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Uphold infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards in the endoscopy suite
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and follow-up
• Support flexible scheduling needs as a travel nurse including varying shifts and sites
