Are you detail-oriented, meticulous, and passionate about quality? Do you thrive in a controlled, laboratory setting? Join our team in Johns Creek, GA, working for a leader in contact lens manufacturing, as a Final Inspection Specialist. You will be essential in ensuring that every product meets our rigorous quality standards before it reaches our customers. This is a 12‑hour rotating shift from 6 am to 6 pm.
Aboutthe Role
As a Final Inspection Specialist, you will be a critical part of our Quality Control process. Your primary responsibility will be performing detailed final inspections of products to verify quality and adherence to strict specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Product Inspection & Testing
- Perform comprehensive final inspections on samples in a laboratory environment.
- Use calibrated measurement equipment (e.g., micrometers, optical comparators, etc.) to verify product quality against established engineering specifications.
- Documentation & Data Entry
- Accurately complete all documentation related to product inspection and quality checks.
- Enter inspection data into electronic tracking and quality management systems promptly and accurately.
- Material Handling & Traceability
- Manage, handle, label, and trace all samples and finished products according to strict protocols.
- Ensure proper identification and control of accepted and non‑conforming material.
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all material inspections are performed strictly according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal quality standards.
- Work to meet the production plan timelines while maintaining uncompromising quality.
- Communication & Defect Reporting
- Communicate any defect information or non‑conformance issues immediately to the Quality Assurance (QA) team to facilitate timely corrective actions.
- Experience
- Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or a laboratory/manufacturing environment is highly preferred. Experience using precision measuring equipment is a plus.
- Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, great organizational skills, and proficiency in basic computer applications for data entry.
- Environment
- Must be comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled laboratory environment.
- Attributes
- Dependable, great verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to follow complex procedures precisely.
- Years of experience: 2 years.
- Education:
High School (required). - Experience level:
Experienced.
- Salary: $18 – $19 per hour.
- Shift: First shift (6 am – 6 pm).
- Work Hours:
6 am – 6 pm. - Posting open for 30 days.
- Working in a smoke‑free environment.
