Position OverviewThe Coordinator works with the Assistant Golf Professionals to serve Members and Guests in the Golf Shop. This role is instrumental in generating retail sales and ensuring that every member’s golf experience is smooth and enjoyable.
Qualifications- High school education or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of general business practices, retail sales practices and procedures.
- 1–2 years of similar experience, preferably in retail or customer‑service settings.
- Previous customer experience required.
- Assist PGA TOUR players, club members, and guests with their golfing needs, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Greet and welcome guests courteously and professionally.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and fellow staff.
- Answer telephones to schedule tee times, record reservations in the online system, correct and update reservations when necessary.
- Email and telephone members/guests to verify advance reservations.
- Advises guests of any abnormal golf course conditions (over seeding, aerification, etc.).
- Communicate with local hotels and resorts regarding golf course profile and conditions.
- Accurately open, operate, and close the point‑of‑sale system per the Club Operations Manual.
- Handle cash, make accurate change, and record credit card, gift certificate, and member charges following standard operating procedures.
- Collect green fees, car fees, and other income sources.
- Assist with physical inventories as required.
- Assist with daily cleaning of the golf shop to maintain cleanliness and appearance of storage areas and merchandise displays.
- Ensure displays are stocked at required levels and meet or exceed PGA TOUR standards.
- Professionally communicate information, sell merchandise, and become fully knowledgeable in all products and sales techniques.
- Anticipate member and guest needs and offer appropriate merchandise alternatives.
- Assist with all closing procedures for the golf shop.
- Use radio communications to relay up‑to‑date information to all areas of the golf course (e.g., Caddie Master, outside operations, maintenance).
- Participate in special projects or other duties as assigned.
This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Duties include standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, using hands, talking, hearing, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations is essential.

Work Schedule & ExpectationsShifts are scheduled as necessary based on business levels. The role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
