Position Summary
The role provides member service by acknowledging members and identifying their needs, offering guidance on self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services. It also supports management in supervising associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining the sales floor, and ensuring safety, quality, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities- Provide member service, acknowledge members, identify needs, guide on self‑service technology, assist with purchasing and locating merchandise, resolve member issues, and promote company products and services.
- Assist management with supervising associates, assign duties, communicate goals and feedback, train associates on processes, provide guidance on member service techniques, ensure compliance with policies, support the Open Door Policy, and participate in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
- Receive and stock supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors, organize and maintain the sales floor using equipment and merchandising procedures, and complete required documentation.
- Maintain safety of facility by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous material protocols, adhering to steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations.
- Maintain sales floor and merchandise presentation by handling claims and returns, zoning, stocking, arranging, and organizing merchandise, setting up and cleaning displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing, identifying shrink and damages, and securing fragile and high‑shrink items.
- Monitor food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, recalls, sanitation, merchandising categories, and cleaning all departments.
- Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating and executing assignments, providing feedback and support, and modeling adaptation to change.
- Oversee picking and staging of club pick‑up orders, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy.
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; analyze information; monitor progress; and identify improvement opportunities.
- Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating application, implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
- 18 years of age or older.
- 6 months retail experience and 6 months customer service experience.
- Leadership experience: supervision, hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, managing workload of others.
The hourly wage range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
