Installation Technician, General Labor
We are seeking reliable, hands‑on individuals with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. This is an entry‑level opportunity with full training provided. Candidates with experience in customer service or hands‑on work environments (construction, landscaping, maintenance, etc.) tend to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Install and program residential security systems, including:
- Burglar alarms
- CCTV (IP & Analog)
- DVRs
- Access control systems
- Install related equipment such as window sensors, door units, and smoke detectors
- Troubleshoot and resolve signal or system issues
- Test and verify system functionality
- Provide on‑site customer support and guidance
- Educate customers on how to use their systems
- Complete required job documentation and paperwork
- Track and cost all materials used before closing jobs
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment in company vehicle
- Deliver high‑quality customer service at all times
- Meet performance goals, including high completion rates and minimal service callbacks
- Basic mechanical or technical aptitude
- Troubleshooting ability
Experience with tools, wiring, or installation work preferred - Strong customer service and communication skills
Relevant backgrounds may include:
Construction, landscaping, maintenance, warehouse work, automotive (oil/lube/tire), HVAC, cable/satellite installation, home theater, or similar hands‑on roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, reliable, and punctual
- Customer‑focused with a solution‑oriented mindset
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt in the field
- Must be willing to obtain:
- 24‑foot ladder
- Basic hand tools (screwdrivers, wire cutters, sheetrock saw)
- Preferred:
Electric drill
- Must have a truck or large SUV to transport equipment
(Tools are not required on day one but are expected over time.)
Work Details- Work is primarily conducted at residential customer locations
- Travel is typically within a local area (near home zip code)
- Occasional longer travel may occur (limited mileage reimbursement available)
- Weekend work may be available on a voluntary basis
- Paid training provided (typically 4–5 weeks depending on learning pace)
- Hands‑on and classroom‑style instruction
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Dependable, customer‑focused individuals
- People comfortable working with their hands and in different environments
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Duluth, GA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $24.50/hr.
