Tri Mark USA is seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Service Technician – Refrigeration to support our commercial kitchen equipment customers. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems including walk‑ins, reach‑ins, ice machines, prep tables, and cold storage equipment. The ideal candidate combines strong technical refrigeration expertise with a commitment to safety, quality, and exceptional customer service.
This role is ideal for candidates looking to transition out of HVAC while working indoors at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration systems (reach‑in coolers/freezers, walk‑ins, blast chillers, ice machines, prep tables, display cases, etc.).
- Perform start‑up of refrigeration equipment in restaurants, healthcare, education, hospitality, and institutional food service environments.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant system issues.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
- Handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, parts usage, and customer records.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair status, timelines, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with dispatch, parts, and technical support teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory and tools.
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards.
- 1–2+ years of experience servicing commercial refrigeration systems.
- Experience in commercial food service equipment.
- EPA Universal Certification or Type II (required).
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, controls, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
- Experience with common brands of commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in confined or high‑temperature environments.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and independent work ethic.
- CFESA certification.
- Basic hot‑side equipment knowledge (a plus).
- Experience using service management software/mobile dispatch systems.
- Technical troubleshooting excellence.

- Time management and prioritization.
- Safety and compliance awareness.
- Team collaboration.
Compensation includes the posted hourly pay range. Additional compensation opportunities, including overtime pay, incentives, or bonuses, may apply where applicable. Total compensation is determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job‑related factors.
