Sr Field Service Technician, Fire Technician
As a Sr Field Service Technician, Fire Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of fire protection systems by performing advanced installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire detection and life safety equipment.
You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you'll work out of our Duluth, GA location on an Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the safety and security of our customers by delivering expert field service support, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining the highest levels of operational readiness for fire protection systems.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform advanced installation, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and life safety systems including Honeywell XLS
4000, XLS
3000, Honeywell Self-Test technologies and other Honeywell fire alarm systems. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues on-site to ensure system reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to provide technical support and ensure seamless integration of fire and life safety solutions.
- Conduct system testing and inspections to verify proper operation and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all field activities.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service or technical roles related to fire protection or life safety systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of fire detection, alarm systems, and life safety equipment, including installation and troubleshooting expertise.
- Proficiency with fire safety technologies such as Honeywell XLS
4000, Honeywell Self-Test, and Honeywell Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS). - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and regulatory codes related to fire safety systems.
- NICET certification (Level I or higher) is preferred; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain NICET Level I certification within 180 days of hire.
WE VALUE
- Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, fire protection, or related field.
- Experience working in fire protection or life safety industries with a focus on customer service and technical excellence.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field.
- Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards and experience ensuring compliance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
