Repair Engineering Specialist II

• Perform technical evaluations, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of WEG products and systems
• Diagnose failures involving drives, soft starters, motors, control systems, power electronics, and related equipment
• Conduct root-cause failure analysis and recommend corrective actions
• Manage repair evaluations from receipt through completion, including technical scope, testing requirements, parts identification, documentation, and status updates
• Prepare repair quotations for automation products and spare parts
• Identify replacement parts and recommend solutions based on product condition, configuration, obsolescence, and lifecycle requirements
• Support modernization, retrofit, capital project, and long-term service agreement opportunities
• Serve as a technical point of contact for customers regarding repair findings, recommendations, repair status, and service requirements
• Coordinate technical issues with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Field Service, Sales, Supply Chain, and other internal teams
• Maintain accurate repair records, technical reports, testing documentation, and service recommendations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on repair quality, turnaround time, safety, documentation, and customer satisfaction
• Assist in training and developing less experienced team members
• Maintain repair laboratory equipment, tooling, workstations, and testing systems
• Continue developing advanced product and application knowledge through training and hands-on experience
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical education in electrical technology, electronics, industrial automation, electromechanical technology, or a related field preferred
• 1 to 2+ years of experience in industrial automation, repair operations, electrical or electronic equipment troubleshooting, field service, or aftermarket technical support
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation
• Knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, control systems, and power electronics
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
