Schedule:
Primarily weekday business hours, with some evening and occasional weekend availability required to support family activities, events, and other program needs.
The Director of Family Stability helps strengthen the systems, resources, relationships, and opportunities that support families in achieving and maintaining long-term stability.
Working across Rainbow Village's Aspire, affordable housing, and Thrive communities, the Director helps families overcome practical barriers, connect to resources and supportive relationships, and build stronger networks of support. The position also develops and strengthens community-based resource and referral partnerships that expand opportunities available to families.
As Rainbow Village grows, the Director will play an important role in shaping an increasingly connected Family Stability Ecosystem that supports families at different stages of their journey.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Family Stability & Resource Navigation- Help identify and address barriers that may affect family stability, including transportation, childcare, employment, education, health and wellness, household needs, and unexpected emergencies.
- Connect families to appropriate resources, services, relationships, and opportunities based on individual needs and goals.
- Work closely with Success Coaches and other program staff to coordinate resources and supports that contribute to family progress and long-term stability.
- Help families understand and access available resources and opportunities, including voluntary supportive services available to families living in Rainbow Village's affordable housing.
- Identify recurring family needs, emerging challenges, and resource gaps and help develop sustainable solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers, businesses, churches, educational institutions, workforce organizations, and other community resources that can support families.
- Strengthen referral pathways and develop practical solutions to recurring family barriers.
- Maintain awareness of available community resources and help ensure staff understand how to access them.
- Identify opportunities to expand Rainbow Village's network of family-support resources.
- Develop opportunities that help families build meaningful relationships, stronger support networks, and greater connection to the Rainbow Village community.
- Coordinate gatherings, workshops, resource events, peer connections, and other family-centered opportunities across the Rainbow Village community.
- Help families develop relationships and support networks that can contribute to long-term stability and continue beyond their time in Rainbow Village programs.
- Collaborate with Program leadership, Success Coaches, the Family Engagement Coordinator, and other staff to strengthen coordination around family needs and opportunities.
- Help develop clear and practical systems for referrals, resource requests, follow-up, and communication.
- Track trends in family needs, resource utilization, and partnership opportunities to inform program planning and organizational decision-making.
- Contribute to the continued development of Rainbow Village's Family Stability Ecosystem.
- Supervise and support the Family Engagement Coordinator.
- Provide guidance to volunteers, interns, mentors, or others supporting family engagement and resource activities as appropriate.
- Promote a collaborative, family-centered approach to problem solving and service coordination.
