Software Developer- Adobe Mar Tech
The Mar Tech Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining marketing technology solutions that power customer engagement, personalization, and data‑driven marketing across Macy's digital ecosystem. This role works within the Mar Tech engineering team to build scalable APIs, data pipelines, and integrations that support CRM, loyalty, journey orchestration, and AI‑driven marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- AEP Data Ingestion & XDM Modeling – ingest customer, behavioral, and transactional data into AEP (batch/streaming) and build XDM schemas with identity stitching for Real Time Customer Profile. Should be able to demonstrate implementation, challenges faced, and business value added.
- Segmentation & Customer Behavior Insights – create behavioral and lifecycle segments (cart abandonment, lapsed, high value, affinity) and validate customer behavior flows and match rates.
- Activation Patterns & Real Time Triggers – implement activation patterns to AJO, Responsys, Google, Meta, and support real‑time triggers such as browse email, cart journey, purchase loyalty update.
- Microservices & Platform Integrations – develop Java 21/Spring Boot microservices on GCP (GKE, Docker) and integrate with AEP, AJO, Responsys, and CDP platforms.
- Data Pipelines, Databases & Dev Ops – build Big Query/Airflow pipelines, optimize MongoDB/PostgreSQL for < 500 ms latency, and support CI/CD, monitoring, and on‑call reliability operations.
- 8–10+ years experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Adobe Analytics and related digital marketing technologies.
