Ourclient,anestablishedconstructioncompany,isbuildingoutitsaccountingdepartmentandislookingforahands-onStaff
Accountanttohelpstabilizeandstrengthenoperations.
Theimmediatefocusofthispositionisheavy Accounts Payable and A/Pad ministration—wellbeyondbasicinvoiceentry—whilethedepartmentgetssettled.
Overtime,thisroleisdesignedtogrowintoabroaderstaffaccountantpositionandbecomearight-handtotheaccountingleadership.
Thisisalong-termopportunityforapolished,detail-oriented self-starterwhowantstogrowwiththecompany—notasteppingstoneforsomeonechasingthenexttitleorsalarybump.
WHATYOU'LLDO—IMMEDIATE FOCUS(ACCOUNTS PAYABLE)
- Ownthefull-cycleA/Pprocessfrominvoicereceiptthroughpayment—notjustdataentry
- Managevendorandsubcontractordocumentation,includingW-9s,insurance certificates(COIs),andlienwaivers/releases
- Applyaccuratejobcostcodingtoinvoicesandpayables
- Handleinvoicefollow-up,discrepancy research,andissueresolution
- PerformaccountreconciliationsrelatedtoA/Pandvendoraccounts
- Communicateprofessionallywithvendors,subcontractors,project managers,andinternalstaff
- Supportsubcontractorcompliancetrackingandhigh-volumeinvoiceprocessing
GROWTH RESPONSIBILITIES(OVERTIME)
- Support month-endclose,journal entries,andgeneralledgermaintenance
- Assistwithconstructionbilling,retainage,andpayapplications
- Contributetoprojectaccountingandbroaderstaffaccountantduties
- Growintoatrustedright-handrolewithintheaccountingteam
WHATWE'RELOOKINGFOR—REQUIRED
- Minimum1yearofconstructionaccountingexperience—with2+yearsstronglypreferred
- Hands-on,full-cycle
