Staff Accountant

Position Description

Kolquist, Seitz and Goldman LLC is a local accounting firm providing clients with accurate reporting and trusted advise since 1974. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and long-term career-oriented tax accountant with opportunity to advance within the firm. • Communicate with client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities in processes to enhance efficiency, recognize potential issues and/or opportunities in engagements and discuss with engagement leader
• Provide accounting and bookkeeping services for small business clients
• Prepare individual, business and fiduciary tax returns and projections in accordance with firm and professional standards.
• Prepare payroll and payroll tax reporting for small business clients

• Requires a Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• Requires 0 - 3 years of job-related experience
• An accounting internship experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, etc.
• High level of organization, focus, exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
• CPA certification or desire to obtain
