Operations Manager
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Manages end-to-end rental lifecycle of cranes, including executing purchase orders, scheduling and coordinating transport for these orders on/off the job site, executing rental agreements, resolving complex quality and invoice issues, and ensuring assets land at the lowest total cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need. Acts as a subject‑matter expert on cranes and related day‑to‑day functionality and capabilities, understanding intricacies of load‑outs for transport, preventive maintenance schedules, right‑sizing assets, and other varied topics.

THE ROLE
- Plans, generates, adjusts, and expedites purchase orders based upon field requisitions, project insights, shifting schedule needs, and market availability.
- Executes buy, lease, or rent based on Crane Management Strategy.
- Schedules and coordinates transportation of cranes to appropriate locations.
- Initiates, maintains, and nurtures key supplier relationships in a high‑demand, low‑supply asset class to leverage partnerships based on business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Eight or more years of progressive experience in crane rentals, crane purchasing, crane operations, or related supply‑chain/crane functions.
- Ability to travel roughly 10% (more if outside MN).
