Qualified Toddler Teacher

Job Description

The Little School is looking for an experienced, qualified Toddler Teacher to join our team! We are seeking someone who is warm, dependable, patient and passionate about working with toddlers.

Full-time position working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Tuesdays are OFF.

Our toddler classroom is intentionally small, with only 4 children ages 20-33 months, allowing the teacher to provide individualized attention, build strong relationships, and create a safe and engaging learning environment.

• - Provide attentive, nurturing care for children ages 20-33 months
• -Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
• -Plan and provide developmentally appropriate activities and experiences
• -Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
• -Assist children with and actively participate in the potty-training process
• -Follow appropriate routines for meals, naps, diapering/toileting, and transitions
• -Supervise children closely and maintain all required safety and health practices
• -Communicate professionally and positively with parents and families
• -Work cooperatively with other teacher and staff
• -Follow Minnesota childcare licensing requirements and The Little School's policies and procedures
• -Complete required documentation and classroom responsibilities

• - Previous professional experience working with toddlers is required
• -Must meet Minnesota Department of Human Services childcare teacher qualification requirements
• -Knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching practices
• -Experience with potty training is strongly preferred
• -Must be dependable, responsible, patient, and able to work independently
• -Must be able to safely lift, carry, and care for toddlers
• -Must be able to maintain required supervision and follow all MN childcare licensing regulations
• -Current CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain it
• -Must successfully complete all required background checks and training

• -Monday: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
• -Tuesday: OFF
• -Wednesday: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
• -Thursday: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
• -Friday: 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

Paid lunch and rest breaks are provided.
