Nicollet School Age Childcare Coordinator

Works 10 hours a week following school calendar, 3:00 – 5:00 pm

Works 25-30 hours a week in the summer months for 8-10 weeks.

Program runs 7:00 am – 5:15 pm. Coordinator works 5-6 hours each day.

An after school child care coordinator plans, organizes, and runs out-of-school programs for children. They keep kids safe, manage staff and daily schedules, help with homework or play, and talk with parents.

Pay range from $18.00 to $24.00/hr. depending on experience.

Program runs on scheduled student days only. Holidays and breaks childcare is closed.

Age range:
Nicollet student's kindergarten – fourth grade.

Program Planning: Design fun and helpful daily activities like games, crafts and quiet reading or homework time.

Student Safety: Employ staff to watch over children during snacks, group games, and outdoor play. Make sure kids only leave with approved adults.

Staff Leadership: Hire, train and guide part-time workers or helpers. Make daily work schedules.

Family Communication: Talk and write to parents about how their child is doing and share program news.

Record Keeping: Track daily attendance, snack counts, and safety rules.

Experience: Working with kids in a school, camp or daycare setting.

Education: High school diploma required: prefer college credits or a degree in education or child development, not mandatory.

Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid training (or willing to get certified quickly) Clear background check.
