Position OverviewRole Purpose
Sure, you have a way with words. But you’re more than a writer with 3+ years of copywriting experience: you have an eye for smart design, a brain for big thinking and a sixth sense for the perfect line that will make customers fall in love with our brand repeatedly. You have a strong passion for social media and are eager to work with a team to create compelling content that’s relevant and aspirational for the maurices customer.
You can deliver engaging, focused and accurate copy for a wide variety of projects; own assignments from concept to initial draft to deployment; and make it all happen on brief and on time.

- Bring an authentic and compelling brand voice to daily organic social content.
- Support emails, ads and other projects with a holistic view of all channels and best practices within each medium.
- Partner with the design team to ensure all copy inserted into layouts is accurate and complete prior to release.
- Report regularly to the Director of Brand Voice on status of projects.
- Work with team members across departments to ensure thorough communication on projects.
- Makes recommendations to the Director of Brand Voice on improving processes.
- Gain a solid understanding about the business and customers.
- Develop proper presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or related subject, plus 3 or more years of writing experience in a fashion retail marketing or advertising agency environment.
- Experience writing for multiple media, including digital, print and social media with an understanding of how to translate a brand across all channels.
- Solid grammar, editing and proofreading capabilities.
