At MNKPOPCONNECT, we believe that every event tells a story. From dance workshops and fan gatherings to conventions and community celebrations, our Photography Interns help preserve the moments that bring K‑pop fans together.
We’re looking for creative, passionate individuals who enjoy photography, visual storytelling, and community engagement. This unpaid internship offers hands‑on experience photographing K‑pop events while building your portfolio and gaining real‑world event photography experience.
What You’ll DoAs a Photography Intern, you will:
- Capture high‑quality photos at MNKPOPCONNECT events and activities
- Photograph performances, candid interactions, workshops, and community experiences
- Help document the growth and impact of the K‑pop community throughout Minnesota
- Assist with creating visual content for social media, marketing, and event recaps
- Work alongside event staff, volunteers, and community partners
- Develop your event photography and storytelling skills in a supportive environment
Ideal candidates are:
- Passionate about K‑pop and community‑building
- Interested in photography, content creation, or visual media
- Creative, dependable, and eager to learn
- Comfortable working in event settings and interacting with attendees
- Able to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with others
Photography experience is encouraged but not required. We welcome photographers at all skill levels who are excited to grow and contribute.

This position is an unpaid internship intended to provide educational, portfolio‑building, and professional development opportunities. Interns participate voluntarily and gain experience through event coverage, creative projects, and community engagement. Photography Interns are expected to provide their own photography equipment and transportation to assigned events unless otherwise arranged. Selected interns may have opportunities to showcase their work through MNKPOPCONNECT’s social media platforms, marketing materials, and community initiatives.
