Dentist; Part-Time

Position Summary

LAUKOA is currently seeking applicants for Exam and Treatment Dentist positions located throughout Minnesota to support medical readiness services for the Minnesota Army National Guard (MNARNG). Exams and treatment will be performed in mobile and portable settings at the client’s location of choice. Work is primarily on weekends, with occasional weekdays, and is part-time on an “as needed” basis. Providers will support Soldier dental readiness and deployability requirements through treatment planning, digital radiograph review, readiness documentation, and the use of military dental readiness classifications.

Various throughout Minnesota. Must reside in Minnesota.

$105‑$120 based on event role

• Complete examinations/screenings and ensure accurate charting on military forms
• Perform comprehensive dental treatment including restorative, endodontic, and/or oral surgery procedures in a non‑traditional setting
  • Strong endodontic skills to include molar RCTs
  • Strong oral surgery skills to include third‑molar extractions
• Document findings and completed treatments on military forms and properly classify soldiers
• Work collaboratively with the event team
• Safeguard all soldiers’ information
• Ensure all actions comply with HIPAA and other appropriate federal/state laws and regulations

• Active Minnesota dental license, with no restrictions
• A current and active DEA number is preferred
• CPR/BLS certification
• Professional liability/malpractice insurance policy
• Valid US driver’s license
• Ability to work in mobile, portable, and field‑based dental treatment environments
• Basic computer knowledge and skills
• Utilization of universal precautions for patient care
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changes quickly
• Experience working in a military setting and knowledge of regulations and policies that apply to Dental Readiness Classification (DRC) is preferred
