We are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Designer to join our team. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world class products to our customers. In this role, you will exemplify best-in-class practices in structural design and work exceptionally within a design team to WOW customers. You will take an active role to improve How We Work and mentor peers to achieve expertise in this industry, have mastery in product development of retail fixtures and obtains exceptional knowledge of substrates and hardware used to build them.

This position leads and oversees individual designs, structural validation and creation of production documentation of unique visual fixtures that both meet client budgetary constraints and can be manufactured lizing 3D design software, this role creates visual models of fixtures and analyzes parts and assemblies for proper fitment to the extent possible before a prototype build. Will lead both virtual Design Reviews with internal clients to demonstrate the design satisfies client needs and Bill of Material (BOM) reviews to confirm all necessary documentation is accurately captured to estimate and prototype new fixtures.

Shift available: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

A variety of these traits will help land you this job. If you have:

• a Bachelor’s degree in Design or Engineering
• a minimum of 5 years of related software experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, Artios
  
  CAD, etc
• 5 or more years experience in retail design with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in structural engineering of displays/signs
• a strong portfolio and elevated sense of spatial visualization, design and 3D

On top of that you must:

• pay close attention to details so you are able to complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
• be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve problems independently, effectively and creatively

• understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information

In this position you'll:

• engage in new fixture development at project kickoff meetings to fully grasp and document the scope of work. Creates fixture designs that meet visual, structural and budgetary requirements while collaborating with internal teams throughout the process. Has touch-base meetings as necessary to ensure projects are on track.

  CAD 2D and 3D tools consistent with department standards to create BOM and file outputs clearly and accurately. Provides all required documentation and support to the Product Development team for prototype builds.
• schedule, prepare for and lead Design and BOM Review Meetings to align with Work Back Schedules. Collaborates with peers to validate designs, drawings and specifications for other departments to produce fixtures correctly. Participates in Prototypes Reviews and incorporates necessary changes to ensure design intent while meeting client and production requirements. Provides direction to others for document changes when appropriate.
