** Key Position Details:

* Job Description:

** Provides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations as part of a Physician/Physician Assistant team in accordance with the designated specialty. Works in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff and multidisciplinary health care team.

** Principle Responsibilities
*** Provides clinical care for patients  + Completes comprehensive patient assessments.  + Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.  + Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.  + Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.  + Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.  + Refers for specialty care when determined.  + Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
** Required Qualifications
*** Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant working in a Colorectal Surgery or Gastroenterology setting
** Licenses/Certifications
*** Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
* BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire
* Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire
* Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
** Physical Demands

** Pay Range**### Pay Range: $58.75 to $81.29 per hour### The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.###
