The Director, Lifecycle Marketing owns the enterprise lifecycle strategy across owned channels, focusing on driving customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value. This role elevates lifecycle marketing from executional delivery to a strategic growth lever, using data, personalization, and automation to strengthen customer relationships throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute lifecycle marketing strategy across email, SMS, and emerging owned channels
- Own segmentation, personalization, and automation roadmaps aligned to customer and business goals
- Oversee lifecycle marketing technology, including personalization and automation platforms, and lead the roadmap to ensure scalable, best‑in‑class execution
- Partner with Analytics and Customer Insights to inform targeting, testing, and optimization
- Collaborate with Brand, Creative, and Media teams to deliver cohesive customer experiences
- Establish performance KPIs and reporting to measure effectiveness and impact
- Lead a test‑and‑learn culture to continuously improve engagement and results
- Lead, coach, and develop lifecycle marketing team members
- Ensure lifecycle programs adhere to data privacy, consent, and compliance standards in partnership with Legal and Marketing Operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
- 8+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using customer and performance data
- Experience leading teams and complex marketing programs
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and personalization strategies
- Retail or eCommerce experience strongly preferred
