Alternative Learning Program Social Studies Teaching Position

MNVA is growing our ALP Team by adding a full-time Social Studies teacher for the  school year. Our ALP Team focuses on meeting the needs of each individual student while ensuring the best educational program and experience.

• Current or eligible for 5-12 Social Studies teaching licensure in Minnesota
• Student-centered mindset with a focus on collaborative relationships with students, parents, employees, and community agencies
• Experience with providing services to students in the virtual setting or willingness to attend professional development to obtain these skills

• Participating in student in-take meetings
• Monitoring students' daily progress and attendance
• Supporting students in a variety of subject areas
• Holding live class connect help sessions
• Individualized check-in meetings with advisory students
• Working with school counselor to track student progress towards graduation
• Collaborating with content area teachers to support and monitor student progress
