Job Title

Special Ed Paraprofessional - Communication Integration Program - Afton-Lakeland Elementary

Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with special needs. Transferring/lifting of students may be required. Preferred candidate will have experience working with special needs students.

• A Bachelor's Degree, or
• An Associates Degree, or
• 60+ credits of post-secondary education, or
• A passing score on the Para Pro Exam.

Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college/university or a copy of the Para Pro Exam report.

We can offer a strictly limited 10-day grace period to submit the necessary documents or pass the Para Pro Exam. Stillwater Area Public Schools will pay for you to take the Para Pro Test if you take it through the Harmony Learning Center. However, if you are unable to furnish highly qualified documents or unable to pass the test within the 10-day period, your employment with Stillwater Area Public Schools will be terminated.

Hours per day: 6.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday (student contact days).

Salary:
Starting rate is $21.00 per hour.
