Special Education Teacher Opportunity

Job Summary: We're looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher to design, implement, and evaluate individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. Your role will create a nurturing classroom environment where students can excel academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute personalized IEPs for students with disabilities.
  • Adapt teaching materials and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and specialists to craft comprehensive educational strategies.
  • Implement effective behavior management techniques and reinforcement strategies.
  • Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of student development and services provided.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and engage with parents on student progress.
  • Stay informed about current trends and best practices in special education and teaching methods.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in special education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid state certification in Special Education.
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities in educational settings.
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of assistive technology and specialized instructional techniques.
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Additional certifications in specific disability areas (e.g., autism spectrum disorders).
