St. Wenceslaus Catholic School is seeking a faith-filled, enthusiastic, and student-centered educator to join our team as a full-time 5th Grade Teacher
. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about helping students grow academically, spiritually, socially, and personally during this important stage of development.

ceslaus, our mission is to provide a nurturing, faith-based educational experience for students in Preschool through 8th grade. As a rural Catholic school rooted in faith, tradition, academic excellence, and community, we strive to develop students into thoughtful leaders, compassionate servants, and lifelong learners.

Fifth grade is a unique and exciting year where students grow in independence, leadership, responsibility, and confidence. We are seeking an educator who can inspire curiosity, maintain high expectations, build strong relationships, and foster a love of learning in the classroom.

Position Overview

The 5th Grade Teacher will:

  • Create a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment
  • Deliver meaningful instruction aligned to curriculum standards
  • Encourage academic growth, leadership, and character development
  • Build strong relationships with students and families
  • Integrate Catholic values and faith into daily classroom life
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and school staff

This position is ideal for an educator who is organized, relational, creative, collaborative, and passionate about upper elementary education.

Responsibilities

The 5th Grade Teacher will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and support students
  • Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills
  • Create a classroom culture rooted in respect, responsibility, and kindness
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families
  • Maintain strong classroom management and clear expectations
  • Participate in the faith life and mission of the school
  • Support school activities, events, and community-building opportunities
  • Collaborate with colleagues, paraprofessionals, and administration

The teacher will help students grow not only academically, but also in confidence, leadership, faith, and personal responsibility.
